The World Bank-funded Solid Waste Management Project in the West Bank, implemented by the Higher Joint Solid Waste Management Council of the Hebron and Bethlehem Governorates, has been awarded the World Bank’s Best Project in the World and Similar Countries for Palestine.
A high-level delegation from the World Bank represented by Mrs. Ayat Suleiman, the World Bank’s Urban Sector Officer, and Mr. Youssef Habash, Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the World Bank Group, held a meeting at the Higher Joint Council in Minya. Mr. Hussein Al-Araj, the Minister of Local Government Mr. Mohammed Hassan Jabareen, the Deputy Governor of Bethlehem Governorate, Mohammed Taha Abu Alia and the Chairman of the Joint Council Dr.. Daoud Zaatari Mayor of Hebron and d.
